The Host Just Gets It
Cam brings in the musician from the best jam bands artists touring east of the Mississippi. He is able to coral them in for 30-45 minute sessions bringing the energy and joy of meeting these musicians, but stays calm to ask the questions we are wondering and taking us to places with the artists we didn’t know we want to go. And if you are new to the area and wonder what shows to look for in your area then just scroll through the episodes and find the best bands in the lands 😄
Passion when no one is watching
Its a special opportunity to catch a glimpse of someone sincerely enjoying life while not realizing anyone was watching. I ran into the host of this podcast, Cam Elkins, a few days ago in the Nashville airport. I was listening to a live musician play some music from one of my favorite artists, Bill Withers. I looked over and saw Cam fully absorbed in the music being played. I witnessed pure joy and contentment with the sounds washing over him. I figured he was either friends with the musician or really loved the song. It ended up being the later. We ended up talking for a bit and I could tell he has a rich passion for music. That conversation led me to his podcast. I appreciate his investment in each of the guests he talks with. He is obviously prepared with some great questions that inspire thoughtful and deep responses from his guests. The same passion I saw at the airport flows into his podcast resulting in some insightful and informative interviews. Glad I met you Cam.

I recently found this podcast. Interviews and perspectives from people I have loved and respected for years as well as people I would have never known about keeps me excited for the next episode. Big recommendation if you love music but the weird has always been my favorite! Great job!
