Exposure: one of our big recovery tools
We’re back with another solo episode this week talking about a topic that I’m all jazzed up about right now: Exposure. Exposure can be looked at in two ways. First, looking at what we need to expose ourselves to in order to continue growing and healing (AKA facing our fears around food and our bodies). And second, looking at what we may be unintentionally exposing ourselves to that is holding us back in recovery.
On body positivity, 'no sweat' fitness + changing the cultural narrative around bodies with Dr. Kate Browne
This week I’m chatting with Dr. Kate Browne, and this interview is literally PACKED with her wisdom on body positivity, and specifically how we can find our place within the movement. We also talk about how she got into this work as a writer and educator, and her thoughts on how we can redefine fitness in our own lives. Hope you love this conversation as much as I did!
Things I'm into lately (because self care = the foundation for recovery)
This week I’m coming at ya with a fresh solo episode, sharing what weird (and some real basic, if I’m being honest!) things I’ve been into lately. These are things that have been keeping me well, things that I’m looking forward to, things I’m trying for the first time, and things I’m tapping back into with fresh perspective. See below for a complete list of show notes! Because as you've probably heard me say one too many times, Self care is the foundation from which healing and recovery are buil

On Why You Should Not be Trying to Resist Your Carb Cravings
We’re back for another media literacy episode, where we dive deep into a recent piece of media as it related to body acceptance, eating disorder recovery, and health (from a HAES perspective. This week we are digging into an article entitled “10 Simple Ways To Stop Craving Carbs All The Time,” sources from Mind Body Green.

Fresh and thought provoking!
I discovered Holly’s podcast about two years ago at the start of my eating disorder recovery journey. I love how unique and alive her content is. Helps me to see situations with an open mind and fresh eyes. I can’t say enough good things about this podcast — her content has helped me get through some deep ruts that I had been stuck in — empowering and inviting. I’m really hopeful that she continues developing more. I wish her the best in all she sets herself to.
Honest, Supportive & Authentic!
This podcast is like a healing salve. The mix of discussion, interviews, and the raw, but super gentle tone is fabulous. It's like you're in a small, intimate circle of caring friends- learning, empathizing, and feeling all the feels.
This podcast is my style for sure. A little well, a little weird. It's really good for me because it's holistic and not looking at a person as just a number or some health measure. I'm really into anything anti-diet, and Holly is just such a supportive voice to listen to.
