Hilarious as always
Mike Reiss is undoubtedly one of the living legends of comedy writing. This, we all know. But a weary world traveler too? Hear Mike’s wild and woolly adventures quite literally around the world in this tight, professionally crafted, funny and fascinating look at the global community through the eyes of the guy who wrote some of your favorite TV and films (including uncredited work you may not be aware of either!; the man named the Minions; for goodness sakes!!). Take the ride along with Mike’s lovely wife Denise as well as a whole slew of colorful characters. Hey, you may even learn a thing or two!
My favorite podcast!!!
This has quickly became my favorite podcast. Mike Reiss is witty and absolutly hilarious!!!!
Upbeat, real, funny, saves me thousands of dollars!
I forget where I heard about this podcast, maybe the podcast ‘Round Springfield? So glad I followed this one. It is quick, smart, funny, heartfelt and real.
Mike Reiss is a familiar voice if you’re a Simpson’s fan and he’s certainly enjoyable here with his doorman, wife and others filling out the stories. By familiar ‘voice’ I don’t mean literally, and you don’t have to be a Simpson’s fan to enjoy this podcast. I’ll stop arguing with myself. The episodes are only around 15 minutes so listen to a few and you’ll hear what I’m trying to say.
I really appreciate the way he can both demystify and appreciate all the places his wife takes him. She either has the most diagnosable case of wanderlust or she’s trying to get him killed. Decades later he’s doing this podcast for us so I’m betting she has the travel bug.
Just about every episode has some stark reality about travel, humorously delivered followed with a beautiful detail about the people, place or events. I feel like I’ve learned something new each episode. I always laugh and sometimes darn near cry given because they experienced some wonderful people in some parts of the world before they had fallen into chaos or conflict.
Thank you Mike Reiss (et al) for STILL giving us something to enjoy! You (and your writing partners, performers, etc) are responsible for SO MANY laughs in our (my!) lives, this podcast is just a bonus round.
