It’s not often one gets to talk to a brilliant scientist about artificial intelligence, college admissions, David Epstein’s book, “Range,” the scary questions of biology and the incredible insights of excellent indigenous science. Even better is the fact that I caught all of this conversation on tape and can present it here in this podcast. … Continue reading "S1:OTR11 Ten Epic Questions for Helen Turner, Part 1"

As soon as I walked on Stacie Kunihisa’s campus I knew something different was happening. Two student ambassadors guided me on a tour of classrooms and project spaces, and spoke to me at length about how campus culture had changed as a result of a “movement” called Choose Love. Both felt that kids were related … Continue reading "S1:OTR8 Kanoelani Elementary Chooses Love"

Josh is amazing!

In the test podcast, Josh mentioned a moment in time where he took learning to another level with online discussions and taking learning beyond the four walls of the classroom at LP. I was there, 18 years ago, when he had the courage to make a difference. Looking forward to listening to all the segments hosted by Josh, he is a Innovative, deep thinker.

Awesome resource for learner-centered program developers

I’ve been really impressed with what Josh Reppun is doing here. He’s highlighting the innovation that’s happening in education in Hawaii by bringing in those who are leading the work and having real conversations with them. A great resource for those inside and outside Hawaii.
