BYU hired Kevin Young from the Phoenix Suns at a faster-than-normal pace. Because of his NBA ties, it’s hard to know what to expect moving forward for the Cougars. Young will stay with the Suns through their playoff run, so the expectation is that assistants will handle recruiting in the mean time. UConn landed a big man on Wednesday in the form of Michigan transfer Tarris Reed. This will allow Dan Hurley to continue playing a platoon big man system as he has done the previous two national championship seasons with Adama Sanogo/Donovan Clingan in 2023 and Clingan/Samson Johnson in 2024.
