087 – What to Do When You Disobey God The Bible Speaks to You: Embracing the Mindset of Christ

    • Christianity

087-When someone accuses you of making a mistake, what is your first reaction?

All too often it is to justify our actions, make excuses, blame someone else, or run for cover.

The Bible is full of this kind of behavior. It started all the way back with Adam. Instead of taking responsibility for eating the forbidden fruit, he blamed Eve.

What if Adam had actually gone to God and repented for his sin before God came looking for him? Obviously, that didn't happen, but it gives us something to think about.

In this week's episode, I talk about
Our reluctance to repent and the solutionWhy we need to accept responsibility for our thoughts and actionsThe best way to repentWhat repentance really isGod's forgiveness is always available for youThe important thing is to strive toward admitting your mistakes as soon as possible after you make them.

Repentance and forgiveness go hand in hand.
