Yes!

It’s one thing to read articles about various mental health issues, or watch/listen to people recite those same signs and symptoms. It’s another—and so refreshing—to hear from those living with the same concerns you have, talking about them in relatable terms. (For example, America answering back to her brain: “Dude!”) Listening to In The Open is like sitting down for lunch with friends you didn’t know you had. Each episode I’ve heard so far also serves as a reminder that none of us is the ONLY one thinking of what we’re going through.

The Intrusive Thoughts series ✨

Right on time (pandemic & more) in-depth exploration & vulnerable discourse - thank you, America Paredes & Theresa Nguyen ! I listen to Therapy for Black Girls often with Dr. Joy Harden which centers intergenerational trauma. Your podcast definitely adds a lot to my knowledge about mental health as a Black woman artist in the Midwest.
