What Would Sharon Raydor Do? Podcast

I love this podcast. Mary, Mina and Chelsea’s take on the show and Sharon Raydor is so fun & entertaining but I love that it also digs deeper as well. I can always expect a smart and thoughtful conversation from their perspectives in addition to Sharon’s perspective that delves into “the reel” and “the real”. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

What would Sharon Raydor do is my first experience with pod casts. Mary McDonnell and crew deliver such a great perspective on one of my favorite characters on Major Crimes. Her insights are a great supplement to the Major Crimes experience. I also love when the topics drift to current affairs. Mary is so smart, insightful, and gracious. This a must for the true Major Crimes fans!

I am thoroughly enjoying this delightful podcast. Thank you for creating it. I love Major Crimes and will miss the show when it ends. I'm so glad I found your podcast of fascinating discussions about the show and your lives and what's happening in the world. The singing in the "wedding" episode was much appreciated by me. I am also a singer who enjoys performing show tunes. Excellent voice and performance of Not A Day Goes By, and I liked hearing the history of the misunderstanding about the lyrics and version that made it onto the show.

With this WWSRD podcast, Mary McDonnell opens up and reflects of the various aspects of her character, Sharon Raydor, in Major Crimes. One could easily dismiss this podcast as "only for hard core fans of the show", but even if you do not know the show very well, you will find that the discussion of Sharon Raydor's character extends well beyond the Major Crimes series. It opens to the world we live in and is an on-going commentary on women in the workplace, in politics and in our modern society. Indeed Mary McDonnell could very well be a professor in women's studies, as she analyses with accuracy and eruditon the struggles of women in power and in leadership positions, our current political climate and how women reconcile their private lives with the demands of high level professional positions. Mary shares also wonderful insights on aging and ageism, sexism and mysogyny in the workplace, as well as her experiences as a movie and TV star, from the beginning of her career in theatre until now. She reflects on current events with great respect for the opinion of others, sensitivity and kindness. Her thinking also leads her to share the depth of her spirituality and reflections on how to work through our current difficult times. I hope that this podcast will evolve beyond the Sharon Raydor character once the show conclude its final season in January. DO NOT MISS!
