What's next for this former district attorney? with Nico LaHood Retire In Texas

    • Business

Many people don’t consider that the Bible doesn’t define retirement.
Does this mean we should be working forever? Should we sacrifice time with our loved ones for work?
Certainly not.
The common definition of retirement is leaving your job and ceasing to work.
But the fact that the term does not exist in the Bible suggests that work is omnipresent in our lives.
And if we look at what we wish our retirement to be like, the work doesn’t end.
It changes its form.
In this episode, my friend and former District Attorney Nico LaHood shares how our faith in God helps us find a purpose that fulfills our lives and lasts until after we retire.
Listen now.
Show highlights include:
How to overcome the fear of being stigmatized and slandered in public for speaking the truth (1:05) How one profound conversation with God sets you up to build a legacy for your family (5:57) How a discussion group saves you from despairing over contradictions and misinformation in the media (10:19) The only rule to follow for retiring without any regrets (and why even our biggest professional successes leave us empty inside) (15:00) The simple affirmation you can use whenever you feel trapped between your profession and your personal life (18:34) How our faith unlocks supreme discipline, so we stay young while we’re getting older (21:01)  Disclosure:
