CCA Maryland is a state chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association(CCA), the nation's largest saltwater recreational fishing membership organization. All who fish or care about the health our marine resources, are welcome to take join CCA, and support out work through our network of local chapters.
The objective of CCA Maryland is to conserve, promote and enhance the present and future availability of coastal resources for the benefit and enjoyment of the general public. At our core, we are recreational anglers who love a life on and by the water. We work hard to ensure the health and conservation of our coastal resources & anglers' access to them, but most importantly we just love to go fishing, talk about fishing, think about fishing, and prepare for the next time we get to go fishing! The What's On The Line Podcast is meant to share the important work CCA does to represent recreational anglers, and our natural resources, but never forget to talk about fishing, and hope our audience learns something along the way.

CL is a native of Saxis Island Virginia, and a former sports editor for the Eastern Shore news, the Mid-Atlantic Fisherman and co-founder of the Shore Golf Magazine. He is an avid angler and hunter, who’s writing shares enjoyable tales of the rich history of fishing and waterfowling on the lower Delmarva peninsula.
CL’s 4th book ‘Chesapeake Bay Outdoor Tales – Life By The Tides’ will be released this fall to join his previous titles, ‘A Taste of Eastern Shore Living’
‘Chesapeake Bay Duck Hunting Tales’ , ‘ Hunting and Fishing the Chesapeake – Unforgettable Tales of Wings and Water’

Writer and avid angler Bill Hall was the first Eastern Shore resident to achieve Virginia Salt Water Master Angler Status. He has been named Virginia Saltwater Angler of the Year and Virginia Saltwater Release Angler of the Year. Bill is an IGFA International Committee Representative and a longtime member of the Virginia Fishing Tournament Committee. He is also the recreational fishing representative to the ASMFC Striped Bass Advisory Panel, and past recipient of the CCA Virginia Outdoor Writer Conservation Leadership Award.
