Nora and Natalia met on the internet and quickly formed a mutual admiration society which grew into a friendship and many conversations about life and loss and faith and God. They knew there was a place in the current cultural and political climate for a kind of Christianity that was not “THAT kind of Christian”. So Cafeteria Christian was born. They are reclaiming this pejorative for good and reminding people that even when it comes to Christianity and faith, you can take what you like and leave the rest.

Emmy and Natalia welcome our favorite producer Matthew to talk about his new book and the book of Revelation and why we all have unlearning/learning to do and sure it’s a scary book of the Bible but not for the reasons we think.

    #267 You Who Remain

Blessed Holy Week to you, Cafeterians! In lieu of our usual episode, this week we wanted to share a sermon from friend and colleague Amy Courts Koopman. Amy is a gifted preacher and musician, and she often writes songs as sermons. This time, she wrote both, and it is just too good not to share with all of you.

Charlie Belle's Mom ,

Too Soon?

Just listening to my first episode (Feb. 2022) and am already feeling pretty okay about putting my review out there. Just listening to these two sharp (sounding) women, I can tell that this isn't your mom's church basement podcast (not that there were any.) I just appreciate the current and open-minded (sounding) conversation. Then (yay!) one of them mentions that they're from Minneapolis!
Can't wait to catch up & hear more.

Tune in, listen up!

Two female pastors, a black man and an awesome white lady is the perfect combination for a podcast that challenges the status quo of religion and delves into how faith shows up IRL. Great and timely topics push back on your position and encourage you to do the work!! Ding bats need not listen!

Nora is a fake and a fraud

Definitely not a true Christian, her content is plump full of half truths and paid content. Unoriginal.
