insightful sociology by the numbers

I find this podcast a tonic amidst a media climate awash in toxic techno triumphalism, faith in process over people, hubristic trust in data and algorithm over human agency, scientific certainty misapplied to unknowable individual autonomy and libertine social subtlety, capitalism over creativity, etc. May it serve as a bulwark against such as well as fuction as a vigorous check against complacency not only in both our dealings and conjurings with technology but also with ourselves and one another.

The sparks broadcasts are awesome

Really great general discussion of science topics. I also really appreciate that the hosts are women scientists and that this isn't explicitly discussed.

Love, love, love Sparks!

Ladies discussing science make this lady scientist very happy.
