    Tune in as Evelyn takes us through her journey from teaching biology in the Atlanta Public school system to becoming a Science Instructional Coach for the Boston Public School system. Evelyn is passionate about educational planning and has always been an advocate for academic equity. After completing her undergraduate degree, Evelyn took a 2-year gap to become a core member of Teach for America (TFA), a national nonprofit aimed at strengthening the movement for educational equity and excellence. Evelyn’s experience with TFA influenced her decision to pursue her current aspirations where she leverages her strengths and experience as a facilitator, instructional coach, and curriculum developer.

Tara Sheehy started into college fully devoted to pre-med and biology, but after completing all the requisite classes in her first year, she realized that this wasn't the path for her. After taking a marketing class, and her exposure to postgrad education, she expanded her horizons for potential career pathways and became more open to the possibilities of blending all her life experiences, especially science and creativity.     Genevieve Bell, PhD obtained her associate's & bachelor's in Psychology and her Masters & PhD in biology and Neuroscience respectively. Throughout her educational journey, Dr.Bell clearly outlined her priorities and used them to construct her plans for the future. While obtaining her Master's, she researched metabolic hormones in a molecular biophysics lab which acted as a stepping stone for her to secure a new role at the Monell Chemical Science Center, the leader in taste & smell research facilities. Dr.Bell's research revolved around taste bud organoids and how they impact the experience of taste. Shortly before the end of her research grant, Dr.Bell took a bite at a visiting professor role at the Center College in Kentucky where she now teaches undergraduate behavioral neuroscience classes. Tune in as Dr.Bell discusses the sweet and salty decisions she had to make in order to achieve her current success.

    After earning both her bachelor’s and Masters in biology, Christine followed her dreams of pursuing veterinary medicine. She soon learned that she wanted to transition to stem cell research. For the past 14 years, Christine has managed a stem cell laboratory at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research. Today Coriell's mission is to accelerate scientific discovery by generating world-class biomaterials and conducting groundbreaking research in biobanking, personalized medicine, and stem cell biology.
    Christine hopes to see continued growth in the field of stem cell research and encourages scientists to get as much hands-on experience as they can.
