WIA 002: "White Privilege" and "Whitesplaining"
This is Episode 2 of White in America.
In this episode, I talk about two of the most popular phrases used to make white people shut up on matters of race. “White Privilege” and “Whitesplaining”.
Both of these words are a go-to response for anyone that doesn't have the balls and/or capacity to engage in an actual conversation about race. If you don’t agree with them, they simply want you to shut up as quickly as possible.
I also share a story from my own life that shows how whites are being passed over for jobs and promotions simply because of the color of their skin.

Great show
This is a show for people who actually think. Liberals need not apply.
Yup, as racist as it sounds
There's historical precedent for doing a double take if somebody brings up "white pride." Doubt I'll stick around long enough to hear your other opinions, but BLM is definitely justified. Black people can vote, sure, but cops still routinely harass, arrest, and murder them at dramatically disproportionate rates compared to whites. There's a class component, too, but race is definitely still an issue.

is this a joke?
When someone says “Black lives Matter” they are not saying “only black lives matter” they are asking you to pay attention to real problems in a group of people that, only a couple of generations back, weren't allowed to own property. Racism in this country is real, it’s indisputable and it’s a problem.
This mentality Mr Whiteside cannot be sustained, it either quickly grows into full blown hate-driven rage or hopefully, upon further consideration and research, vanishes completely. I encourage you to use little thought exercise. before your next episode play devils advocate, make arguments against what you have said and try to win those arguments from the opposing viewpoint. It’s fine if you don’t change your opinion, it’s sad if you don’t try.
