EPISODE 397: SPECIES
The year is 1995. Kurt Cobain blew his head off last year, or someone blew his head off, at the very least. Singles from Smashing Pumpkins’ Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, The Offsprings’ Smash, and Radiohead’s The Bends are lighting up the radio. And Wonderwall, don’t forget Wonderwall. Secretly, and shamefully, you regularly check VH1 to see if the video for Collective Soul’s song, “December” is on. No one must ever know about this 🎶
Then, here comes Natasha Henstridge as a predatory alien searching for the perfect mate to begin populating her species on Earth🤰
Forest Whitaker plays a man with clairvoyant abilities, which in this film apparently means he is gifted with the ability to point out obvious, readily observable things. Michael Madsen wears sunglasses the whole time and doesn’t know how to hold a gun. Then, there’s Oscar-winner, Sir Ben f*****g Kingsley approaching the material like it’s Shakespeare.
Join us as we revisit SPECIES, a very special relic of 1995 🧬

EPISODE 396: COMMUNION
There’s been a whole lot of talk about aliens lately. Some of it potentially historic, some of it hilarious. This episode we take a deep dive into the film adaptation of Whitley Streiber’s best-selling book based upon his own alleged experiences with extraterrestrials, 1989’s COMMUNION 👽
Grey aliens, sleep paralysis, abduction, bad late 80’s fashion, alien dance parties, little blue people, doppelgängers, anal probes, and a lead performance from Christopher Walken at peak absurdity make this a strong contender for one of the strangest Hollywood productions ever made.
“It’s a puzzle box. And you're not going to get to see what's inside. Let's just get that clear. I am you. And you are me. And we are here. I am the dreamer and you are the dream.“ It’s the Who Goes There Podcast Episode 396!

EPISODE 395: TOKYO GORE POLICE
Sahhhhhh dudes! As the reigning monarch of our Patreon, King Hans has decreed a foray into the action splatter excess of 2008's TOKYO GORE POLICE. Luckily, we have some help to discuss this profound film. That's right! Matt's back for this episode to join in the festivities.

EPISODE 394: OLDBOY 🔨
This episode we get into Korean auteur Park Chan-Wook’s modern cult classic, OLDBOY, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary with a limited theatrical re-release. It’s a tale of revenge, obsession, torture, and terrible truths. It’s also got one of the most influential single-shot takes in cinema history, involving a hammer.

EPISODE 393: TREMORS
There's not too many genre mashup monster/comedy/adventure/horror films out there, and even less that are any good. What other cases can be made against 1990's TREMORS? Well, it's PG-13, so there's that. It has Reba McEntire and the Dad from Family Ties.
But enough of all that, if you’re among those of us who helped turn it into a cult classic over the years after its abysmal initial theatrical run, you already know this is all a jest. How does it hold up though? Listen and find out.
"So what if we make it to the rocks? We'll be dead in three days anyway! This bastard ain't smarter than us. I'm gonna go for it. I GOT A GODDAMN PLAAAAN!" It's The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 393!

Good chemistry, good insight
A great hangout show. The 3 hosts have distinct voices and bring unique perspectives to the table. Fun, irreverent sometimes moronic but pretty insightful.
Fun
Decent horror podcast. Fun to hear three guys argue and get heated about how bad some horror movies are.
