    Monday Musing: Taking A Break

    Monday Musing: Taking A Break

How much is too much? That is the core question that Jeff poses today, as he himself prepares to go on a much needed vacation. There's been a lot of advice these past few months, and sometimes its hard to decide what guidance is best.
Jeff urges us to stop and take some time for ourselves. To reflect on if it's worth pushing further and further if it comes at cost of your well-being and the love of what you do. Some might worry that taking a break would mean missing the boat. But maybe pausing for a breath, regrouping, and reevaluating, means you are giving the boat the maintenance it needs for a better journey ahead.

Yes And... with Gina Trimarco (Re-Broadcast)

Yes And... with Gina Trimarco (Re-Broadcast)

The concept of "Yes and" is a cornerstone of improv comedy. Now you may wonder what that has to do with you. Well, our guest today Gina Trimarco is here to tell you. Gina is a sales trainer, a consultant with Pivot10 Results, founder of Carolina Improv Company and host of the wonderful Women Your Mother Warned You About podcast.
She talks with us today about how the principle of "Yes and" can be used to re-energize a stale or broken sales strategy. It's about opening yourself up to possibilities before saying no, being able to read others and to respond quickly. And sometimes, when situations are the most difficult, using "Yes and" will help you perform at your best.

    Monday Musing: Guardrails

We are all familiar with guardrails on roadways that keep us on the road when we traverse potentially dangerous areas. But what about guardrails in our professional life and our organizations?
Today Christie talks about knowing our values, ethics and beliefs to guide the way. To know that we are there to be the best service provider to our clients. And to understand that lowering your price can be detrimental to both your organization and your client.

Doing It Old School with Jay Jensen

Doing It Old School with Jay Jensen

There are so many new tools and methods to prospect and make connections. But today's guest knows that none of those matter without the foundations of old school sales.
Jay Jensen, CEO of Sales Inc. joins Jeff today. He is irreverent, authentic, and a straight shooter with a dry wit that is often missing in the world of sales leaders. Jay spent years in the auto industry honing his sales craft, and he discusses the importance of process, relationship building, investing your time, and not being afraid of the ask.

My favorite sales podcast

This podcast is at the top of my list for sales podcasts. Jeff and Christie have A guests on the show every week and get much more out of them the cookie cutter…”Who are you? What do you do? What’s do you want to teach our listeners?”

They’re great interviewers and get a lot out of their guests. Subscribe to this podcast if you’re a rep, sales leader, or business owner looking for more inspiration and tactical advice on growing your sales.

Great podcast no matter where you are in your career

I have been listening for a couple months now and benefit greatly from the wide variety of information and guests Jeff and Christie provide. I especially appreciate the suggestion to study psychology and sociology to better understand our customers, as that will lead us to better serve them.

Actionable takeaways every episode!

Loved this last episode and Christie’s point about the need for connecting values and action in corporate America. We need to keep naming this and talking about it. Thank you Christie and Jeff for making the space in the pod sphere for us to listen and learn for your expertise and your wider network.
