Why Taiwan’s Democracy Matters to the World ft. David Sacks Global Voices on Taiwan

In this episode of Global Voices on Taiwan, David Sacks, director of task force “U.S.-Taiwan Relations in a New Era: Responding to a More Assertive China” and fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, tells hosts, Vincent Chao, director of the Democratic Progressive Party of Taiwan’s International Affairs Department and Rath Wang, a news producer and show host, why Taiwan matters to the world. 

Sacks shares his in-depth insights on how Taiwan is a core security interest not just to the U.S., but to countries around the world. 

Sacks was previously in charge of political military affairs at the American Institute in Taiwan, the U.S. de facto embassy to Taiwan.
