Jo Jones: If you never try, you'll never know

Jo Jones: If you never try, you'll never know

In 2020, Jo Jones took on the Bristol Channel, following in the footsteps of Kathleen Thomas, the first person to cross the Channel almost 100 years earlier. But things didn't go to plan, and with the open water swimming season coming to a close, a broken boat and bad weather put the swim under threat.

Jo talks through the lessons learnt over her journey, from the resilience needed to bounce back after disappointment, to how her mindset of 'just enjoy the swim' led to her setting the fastest time for the crossing, which has caused her to reevaluate her own abilities.

Great Lakes Runner-Swimmer ,

Inspiring & and informative

Jade s a great interviewer. She shard her enthusiasm for outdoor swimming by inviting guests with unique perspectives and experiences. She asks questions from an Insider’s view but gives them space to share their stories.

MtnBrookie ,

I accidentally reviewed this swim podcast ( never heard it

I tried to correct it by cutting pasting my review where it belonged but it stayed here ( it also made no sense bc it refers to an episode on the other podcast that inspired me ( didn’t want to confuse anyone !
I’m sure this is a good podcast but not too many in the US so I’ll leave this review
