Enjoy the ride through a fractured post-Brexit landscape

Travelling the length and breadth of Britain at this curious historical juncture by means of the omnibus and the coach. In the wheeltracks if not the footsteps of historical figures. Self is the perfect person for this. With his distinctive voiceover, punctuated by interviews with locals, it’s a mixture of the literary and the gritty, with sometimes surreal results. Typical Will Self, in other words. If you’re familiar with his Psychogeographies newspaper column, you'll know what to expect. But this is a particularly timely journey, as the UK seemingly tectonically reorients itself. Mind you, this podcast may have extra resonance for me, a British expat in Trumpland who is trying to work out what the heck is happening right now.
