A Great Podcast For Writers
06/22/2023
My wife and I have listened to this podcast as we drove hundreds of miles a day while traveling. Now I equate it with great memories while we traveled, and great interviews Sarah and Jami have conducted. The latest one with Rachel Hannah was so good I just had to finally write this review. Eventually I’ll get around to paying for their paid episodes so they don’t go the way of the Six Figure Authors podcast. To be fair, those guys (Six Figure) said it wasn’t about the money why they shut down. Most listeners have no idea how much time it takes to produce an episode. We do since we had a podcast a long time ago. Thank you Sarah and Jami for all of your hard work.
Really not helpful

If you want to listen to two women talking about the TV shows they watch and what their week was like, then this is the podcast for you. If you’re interested in writing and publishing information then don’t listen to this podcast,
Love the interviews

The interviews are great - seriously wonderful and inspiring. But the opening chitchat with the hosts can be distracting. The weekly personal updates is a new fad with a lot of podcasts that is quickly becoming off-putting. While those discussions allow listeners get to know the hosts, it often detracts from the promise of the premise. I find the personal talk more beneficial at the end of the podcast. That way those who want connection can stick around and listen to the the hosts, while those who are looking for the educational part can go along their merry way, happily inspired. It’s a hard balance to walk, connecting vs entertaining/teaching. Many podcasts have lost sight of why they started their shows and why listeners followed them in the first place. I would like the banter to stay, but maybe be shortened up front or moved to the closing thoughts. This is only a suggestion - it’s your baby to do with as you please.
