    At the beginning of her career, someone told Marie that she should not be defined by her job, but by a verb. She knew instantly that her verb was 'to create’. Originally from Montréal Canada, Marie-Pierre Blanchette is a self-taught perfumer with a background in anthropology, art direction and design. Turning 40 made her reconsider what would truly make her happy in the next 20 years of her career. So she started shaping her process of becoming an independent perfumer based on the method of trial and error. From the lead role as the Head of Design at Zalando to starting her own company MISKEO an independent, handcrafted & small-batch perfume company - in this episode we learn from Marie about the industry ethics, what continuously inspires her in creating her own perfume line, and how she overcame the barriers before going fully independent.

Love getting some insight into women’s life’s and achievements in Europe. This podcast highlights women that we might not know. Women that have created incredible life’s that are impactful in their communities. The podcast host is doing in an incredible job by asking sharp and on point questions.
