Stephanie Slocum knows what it’s like to have a corporate career that looks amazing on paper but makes you feel trapped. After 15 years working as an engineer, she started her business as a side project by self-publishing the Amazon.com bestselling book She Engineers: Outsmart Bias, Unlock Your Potential, and Live the Engineering Career of your Dreams. She wrote the book while working 50+ hour weeks as an employee and with three small children at home.
 
That book spurred the founding of Stephanie’s business, Engineers Rising LLC, where her mission is to normalize engineering, technology, and STEM women in leadership. She helps women become influential business leaders while having a life, and she helps organizations committed to gender equity in STEM create work environments that retain and engage their women. 
Stephanie is a winner of the 2020 Connected World’s Women in Technology Award for her work empowering women in engineering and technology.
