About this episode
In this episode, the guest speaker, Dr. Shivani Gupta, Author, Speaker, Mom, suggests that individuals can take good care of themselves by incorporating self-care practices throughout the day. This can include simple acts such as having tea, taking supplements, and nourishing their bodies with healthy food. By establishing a self-care rhythm from morning to evening, individuals can consistently attend to their own needs.

The episode acknowledges that as women, there is often a tendency to focus on others, such as spouses, children, partners, and family members. However, it is crucial to remember to prioritize self-care amidst these responsibilities. Dr. Gupta emphasizes that self-care is a way of building trust with oneself and demonstrating a commitment to self-love.

Overall, self-care is not selfish but rather a necessary aspect of personal growth and well-being. By prioritizing self-care and putting oneself first, individuals can rewire their brains and teach their bodies to expect consistent self-care, leading to a more vibrant and fulfilling life.

And if we're going to defy nature's clock and fight against it, then we're not going to get to have the health and vitality that we really want, we can prevent a lot of these horrible diseases that are part of our heritage and part of our ethnicity and background.”

The Power of Turmeric.
Dr. Shivani Gupta: “If you look at super spices like turmeric and ginger and ashwagandha and all the different spices from Ayurveda, they are such powerful anti-inflammatories, antioxidants. They are reversers of aging, such powerful investments in longevity. They improve gut health, heart health, brain health, all the different systems of health. So when I learned about turmeric, I was like this is that one spice that if my family had all those generations ago, maybe we didn't have to pay the prices that we paid. “
