Prashant Nair and Swati Shetty talk about their journey to becoming filmmakers and some of the important decisions they made along the way in producing their first project, Umrika, which won the World Cinema Dramatic Audience Award at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.

Nair and Shetty visited WonderRoot as part Sundance Film Forward, a touring program which introduces a new generation of audiences to the power of story through the exhibition of film and conversations with filmmakers to create greater cultural awareness.
