Thomas Lambell and Sarah Kwong have a lot in common; they were both born in February 1988 and raised as only children of single mothers. Actually, that’s where the similarities end. Tom grew up on a cattle farm in rural Queensland, learned to be a DJ when he was 16, and is a passionate Formula 1 fan. Sarah grew up in suburban Adelaide, attended musical theatre classes as a kid, and now works as a high school English teacher. Their taste in movies, music and books could not be more different. In this podcast, these two friends take it in turns to share something they love that the other one has never experienced, and take the opportunity to talk about art, creativity, and how those things have shaped them.

    The Whitlams

    The Whitlams

Named after one of Australia's most progressive Prime Ministers, The Whitlams are a band Thomas had definitely heard, but never fully paid attention to. Sarah was the same until she was invited to see them live about five years ago. In this episode, we talk about how Tim Freedman manages to be celebrated yet still underrated, the insidiousness of gambling in our culture, and run into our old nemesis, Powderfinger.Sarah's playlist:https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37hyVDzykqqtXdsIYmMJ5w?...
