In a time and place where you can work from anywhere, two ladies in their mid-to-late 27's have decided to — and they're calling it Workationing. 12 months, 12 countries, 12 professional and personal goals, and countless adventures. Is this a huge mistake or are they about to have the time of their lives? This is the Workationing Podcast.
Lockdown, Baby! (Part 1)
The ladies are back from hiatus with some big life ch-ch-chaaanges – Ashley moves from Amsterdam to Scotland and has a baby, all during a pandemic.
Kari hits Epernay, France with her new(ish) boyfriend Filip, and her old(ish) boyfriend Dom Perignon...and then she hits curfew, as Amsterdam locks down for the first time since WWII.

Let’s Go Biohacking – Taking the Ice Plunge
The Gringas fill Kari’s bathtub with ice and then sit in it for six minutes each, while Kristin Weitzel of Warrior Woman Mode talks them through it. Can the ladies channel their inner Wim Hof and make it through gracefully, or do they splash like biohacking bitches?

Biohacking Our Bodies with Kristin Weitzel
Coronavirus has us all thinking of ways we can optimize our bodies for peak performance – that is, unless you’re Kristin Weitzel of Warrior Woman Mode. Kristin’s been in this shit since ‘92 (as Biggie would say), and she’s here to walk us through the biohacking options – even if we’re stuck at home.
The ladies talk about everything from Blue Cannatine, which is all the rage in Silicon Valley, to taking ice baths, which is all the rage in Kari’s bathtub.
Escaping India & Moving to Scotland During a Pandemic
Kari and Ashley are comin’ in hot from quarantine, and discuss in detail their experiences leaving India during the COVID-19 crisis – plus what happened to their friends (one gets police lockdown, the other is still stranded in India a month later).
The financial implications of COVID-19 have already hit the ladies hard, and they discuss their next steps. Ashley has a big move coming up, and big news about her family.
Both ladies experience visa problems as a result of the coronavirus.
Ep 64: Hitting the Holi Festival in Goa, India – and Leaving Just in Time
Kari and Ashley hit three continents in three weeks, starting with the US for a work trip and Brussels, Belgium for a birthday.
Next stop: Goa, India for the Holi festival. The Noname Guesthouse in Arambol sponsored the lady’s stay, and Holi was everything the ladies thought it would be.
The ladies left Amsterdam the same day the first case of coronavirus showed up in the city. A week into their India trip, it becomes clear that they need to get out of India – and FAST.
New Decade, New Goals, New Adventures, Newly Single
It’s a new decade (depending on who you talk to), and the Gringas are ringing in 2020 in typically epic fashion – starting with a masquerade ball for New Year’s Eve. Kari goes through a breakup and Ashley deals with a bike accident, which kicks off a discussion about some hardcore Amsterdam biking injuries.
The ladies talk about goal setting and achieving, as well as their New Year’s resolutions. There’s also a story about Helen Keller that you don’t know, and won’t want to miss.
HILARIOUS AND REAL
Kari and Kelly are so freaking hilarious and I’m loving being along for their ride! Starting at episode zero was so interesting! I love how candid these conversations are. Whether you want to Workation yourself or not, you’re going to have a ton of fun listening to their stories!
Real talk that gets the blood pumping!
I stumbled upon this podcast through a Facebook group I’m in & wow! These women are literally telling me how to do what I’ve been timidly pondering for years! And the nuggets of wisdom & inspiration are dropping in loads yet it feels like casual conversation...easy to listen & follow.
So grateful these 2 Powerhouses are willing to share like this!
Glad it’s back
I’m writing this review because I wanted to give praise where praise is due! Also because I feel like Kari and Kelly deserve it, seeing as how I benefited from the podcast and the only tangible way to say thanks would be to leave a positive review so that others can benefit as well.
Love that it isn’t scripted. Love all the travel anecdotes.
