Monday, January 19, 2009 marked Edgar Allan Poe's 200th birthday. Though these tales need no introduction, the rationale for starting with volume two is threefold: many of the best-loved (and best) tales are included, the vast majority run from 15 to 30 minutes, and the other volumes can then be recorded without repetition, if there is interest in doing so. (Summary by M.L. Cohen)

Amazing

Many of Poe's famous works read aloud, what's not to love?

Watashi wa kwaii desu ,

I love this!

I'm really glad for this pod cast. I've only listened to "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Cask of Amontillado", and "The Masque of Red Death". Which were all very well read! Especially "The Tell-Tale Heart" and "The Cask of Amontillado". The reader is comical in some areas, it made me laugh! XD

It's good for being free.

Just be sure you can stand to listen to who is reading these. Some of these people have a good voice for what they're reading and others sound like nails on a chalk board. Others have an oddly fake sounding british accent. Either way I'm happy to have these so I can listen while I do things. It is very appreciated to those who have done well.
