What is awareness in mindfulness?
Mindfulness. Great. It's important.
Awareness. Sure, it's a part of mindfulness - so... also important.
> How often do we use words, we all understand, can recite a definition of, but have no clue how to explain the lived-practice of it?
'To be aware' is not just 'having knowledge of ___'. Awareness is not the theory of things, but a mechanism helping us with the practice/the behavior we show.
Awareness helps us to have a better character, to put it simply - but you better listen to the episode to get the whole picture. -
Worth Having Trailer

Why does it take so long to diagnose burnout?
Why does it take so long to diagnose burnout?
And can't we fast-track the process?
Because a diagnose is needed in order to get help.
It is needed to be more self-assured that this is not nothing, that we're not alone, and that something has to change.
A diagnose gives legitimacy to unwell-being and burnout is the pandemic we like to sweep under the rug.
>>> I believe that we can do something about it and here is the solution I see feasible. -
What is Identity Related Burnout?
What if burnout is identity related?
What if burnout stems from trying too hard to be someONE and neglecting that you're actually someMANY?
What if everyone who knows you better can see it coming, but does not know how to break it to you?
What if....burnout is all about you becoming a cliché-version of people just like you? -
How come you changed?
The more we educated ourselves, the more degrees we accumulate, the heavier the bagage we carry when we face other people.
They've known us for one thing and now we're doing something else.
How come you've changed? What gives you permission to speak about this new thing? You used to do something different.
Breaking with the tradition of what we used to care about can be really confusing for other people and their comments can make us feel like... we're unreliable/ insincere/ a fluke.
And yet it has to happen in order to stay true to ourselves.
In this episode we talk about shifting identity and the three questions we should ask ourselves BEFORE the change, to know whether this change will actually be worth it. -
Capitalize on empathy. Social Emotional Intelligence for success
Empathy is THE social emotional intelligenceto make us successful: it connects us to those around us, helps us feel seen and understood, and provides us with the ability to put ourselves in someone else's shoes.
But sometimes empathy can be unhelpful if used too one-sidedly, leading to burnout, or feeling overly emotionally manipulated, invested, or having issues with boundaries. Today I want to talk about how we can 'flip' empathy and make it work for us so we don't just give it away, but it keeps giving back to us.
