Writers, After Dark #47: Scott Reintgen Writers, After Dark

    • Books

YA SF author Scott Reintgen stops by to talk about "Ashlords", the debut volume of his new magical horse race duology.

Scott talks about how the story he had started writing evolved into a deeper telling of one of the elements and focusing on what hooked his readers: the race and the actual fire horses. He also talks about the alchemy and the variety of skills required to ride and train these phoenix horses, the fickle attentions of the gods, and more. And yes, he lightly teases events from the upcoming conclusion in "Bloodsworn".

How do we get this story in animated form on Netflix?

Scott also talks about his new middle-grade adventure, "Saving Fable", and the light-hearted fun it has that he realized he'd been craving.

As a bonus, reviewer/contributor Jazz brings us a review of "Doctor Who: A New Beginning", the collected graphic novel introduction to the 13th Doctor (from Titan Comics)
