    New Millennium’s Eve

    Episode 1. The Toronto shortwave station Toonie Radio broadcasts a special show on December 31, 1999 to receive the year 2000 and keep the audience updated on the massive celebrations in Canada and around the world. The host Luke Marlowe shares about his childhood dreams and expectations for the 21stcentury. Luke also talks to other Toonie Radio colleagues reporting from the field, such as Roxie Gibson, a New Age specialist visiting the Teotihuacan pyramids in Mexico. They all discuss the possibilities of chaos derived from the Millennium Bug and even apocalyptic threats. The episode proceeds almost in real time as we listen to the broadcast until midnight.

    Episode 2. Reminiscent of disaster films or the radio broadcast of "The War of the Worlds", Roxie narrates the chaotic events in Mexico as they unfold on January 1st, 2000. Roxie and Eligio Melgar, an expert in Aztec mythology, go on a journey throughout Mexico and try to enter the USA. Meanwhile in Canada, dozens of people in Toronto fall into a coma. A possible explanation is tainted alcohol. Another one is the appearance of a new and powerful virus causing a pandemic.

In this minisode #2, as 1999 comes to an end, Toonie Radio's host Luke Marlowe interviews Quantum Physics Professor Kenneth Morris about the dangers of the Y2K Bug.     Dawn of a Sleeping World

    Episode 3. In the first working day of the year 2000, the apocalyptic leader Ezekiel tries to rally people into his cult, luring even Kenneth. Roxie continues her saga in Mexico. Luke and Monique present the grim news of the collapse of technology, society and human health, but promise to keep the public informed as long as the station can run. Ironically, the outdated technology of Toonie Radio allows it to remain on the air as the grim future arrives.
