this title is just a lot — as is this entire podcast episode and it is coming in at 94 minutes — the longest podcast i have ever put together and longer than a tight 90 netflix rom com. i’m mad at myself and disappointed but here we are. starting at dave portnoy, going to shane dawson and jeffree star finishing with the oshry sisters this episode is so much and then 34 minutes more than you’re used to. so i really hope enjoy — if it’s too long please TELL ME and i will be strict with the talking lol and if you like rate five stars, subscribe and leave a review. love you, mean it, ok bye.

the one with the fyi trigger warning

the one with the fyi trigger warning

trigger warning: conversations involving sexual assault. a shameless plug i will be on a panel this evening discussing anti-racism, diversity and where to begin in the workplace and i would love if you popped by at 6:30 PM EST. you can sign up here. we are discussing this week’s allegations from danny masterson, chris d’elia, ansel elgort and justin bieber. and honestly as i say in the podcast, we all need to take a minute and live our own lives after this. it is a lot. i understand that it’s heavy and i appreciate you tuning in to discuss these stories if only to better understand signals and learn about consent. my number one takeaway: consent matters, consent must be explicit and consent can change. we do also discuss ben mulroney, lainey gossip and the aftermath of that long blog post so stick around or skip to the end if that’s what you’re here for. love you, mean it, ok bye.

the one with the first Black bachelor

the one with the first Black bachelor

let’s discuss! matt james is your first Black bachelor so we get to know him, his relationship with hannah brown and break off into her apology tour and that sudden drowning she baywatch’d herself into. then i dive into how hannah, stassi and kristen all share the same crisis management pr team and what that may mean for future storylines in the news cycle for the ex-vpr ladies…we already got the pregnancy news so yes we talk about that too! then we quickly jump into kaitlyn bristowe’s dancing with the stars news and yes we go there with lainey gossip’s article about sasha exeter and jessica mulroney. i really dive in here so you want to stick around to the end or jump ahead if that’s why you stopped by. i do a quick hot goss roundup mostly because it brings me so much joy and i remind you to EDUCATE YOURSELF, SIGN PETITIONS AND READ A BOOK! Black lives still matter this week even if we’re hearing less about it in the media. that’s all for now. love you, mean it, ok bye.

the second one that’s not about cancel culture

the second one that’s not about cancel culture

quick intro on this as it’s part two of this week’s podcast where we discuss brands and individuals who need to be held accountable for their lack of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and just plain insensitivity toward race in the workplace as well. at the end of this episode we get to the story of Sasha Exeter and Jessica Mulroney and as i mention on the podcast, Sasha is a friend of mine and so i am only sharing information that was publicly shared by the two women so as not to have any bias in the story. lastly i want to reiterate that if you have a story you want to share or need someone to speak to about an issue you’re facing in the workplace i am asking you to please contact me if you need support and we will work together to figure out next and best steps. thank you for listening. love you. mean it. ok bye

the one that’s not about cancel culture

the one that’s not about cancel culture

this week we dive head first into stories from the Black and POC communities calling out brands and influencers on their racist and white privilege bullsh*t. from Stassi and Kristen of Vanderpump Rules, to Reformation / Zimmerman / Ban.do and Refinery29 plus Bon Appetit THE LIST GOES ON AND WE DISCUSS THEIR STORIES. This honestly gets repetitive as there is truly only so many times you can explain what someone / a brand did incorrect but here we are so i hope you enjoy learning about the four pillars of accountability like i did. it definitely opened my eyes to the concept of “repair” in taking accountability and i wish they taught us this in pr school because every publicist should have it on a post-it on their desk. enjoy, subscribe and rate 5 stars — please leave a review if you want to as well i would just adore you! love you, mean it, ok bye

    the one where #blacklivesmatter

    the one where #blacklivesmatter

this needs no introduction. i don’t know everything but i know that i am changing and a part of that is sharing my journey of self-reflection with the hope that it may inspire someone else to do the same. i am trying to do to be better, learn and grow. i will make mistakes in the process and i accept the responsibility and criticism that comes with it. i come from a place of privilege which i recognize now and want to be more. it’s time to pull up. beep beep MFers. as always, please be kind. love you, mean it, ok bye.
