Such a joy!
These episodes are such a joy and perfect when you need a little something to lift your spirits.
Vintage, Fun and Funny
I always look forward to new Yesterday Today episodes. The old radio shows, the classic music from years gone by and the funny and fun characters they have created to fill the void. This show has everything, especially if you love to laugh and love old times radio. Highly recommend!
Westbrook’s are fellow travelers
Always thought I was the odd bird growing up in the 1990s when I found as much enjoyment in film and television of mid-century America as I did the modern entertainment of the time. My grandparents on my mothers side were born in the 1920s and were very much the Greatest Generation having grown up during the Depression and Second World War. I miss them dearly. My final Christmas Eve with my grandmother in 2010 was spent with one of the last big family gatherings we had with all the aunts and uncles (many of whom are also no longer with us) and a snowy Christmas Day watching Holiday Affair (1949), The Bells of St. Mary’s (1945) and It’s a Wonderful Life (1946). One of my all time favorite memories. All of this to say that I’m pleased I stumbled across your Youtube channel for I have a great affinity for big band/swing and jazz vocalists of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. You guys have sent me down the OTR format rabbit hole that was sorta spurred on years ago by Bob Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour on SiriusXM. I greatly appreciate your commitment to recreating the style of radio comedy in your own skits between presenting the shows and music. I hope you continue to find inspiration in this project. I do miss the vintage advertising you featured on the youtube playlists but my imagination fills in the blanks while listening to Yesterday Today. As long as you make new entries to this series I will be happy to listen during my work hours. Keep up the amazing work and content! Thank you
