Shifting from Culture Fit to Values Alignment

Shifting from Culture Fit to Values Alignment

Do any of these phrases sound familiar to you?
"She has some great ideas but she’s just not the right culture fit"
"He’s got the drive we want, he fits with the culture”.
Culture fit - what does that even mean?
Culture fit is a term often used to justify decisions that we don’t know how to express or a way for leaders to not give specific feedback.
In today’s episode, Laura goes over a major mindset shift - moving from culture fit to values alignment. Plus, she also explains how by doing intentional values work and identifying behaviors, companies can define what their cultures really are.
Are you ready to align your values with the culture of your organization and start belonging rather than fitting in? We have plenty of tools and resources to help you do that.

Very Relatable

I really relate to Laura Eigel as an introverted leader and sharing the core value of advocacy. The diversity of her guests is great! I particularly enjoyed the interview with Amanda Knox about belonging and advocacy. While it looks very different in my life, her integration model resonated with me and needing a “hierarchy of priorities” spoke to me.

I also am enjoying my first listen of Values First on Audible.

Bookmark it and thank me later!

Laura is a fantastic host! I marvel at how she can ‘read between the lines’ of what her guests are saying and put a question on the table that takes it three layers deeper than a listener would be expecting. I love her relentless pursuit of aligning her values with her work and encouraging the rest of us to do the same. This is a great listen — highly recommend!

Amazing podcast that shines on the potential diversity we can have in the c-suite

I love that Laura interviews a wide variety of folks who are in the c-suite and the podcast really highlights the diversity we can have at that level if we are intentional.
