    Bobby Slayton

    Bobby Slayton

Warning: This  episode contains more  swearing than our typical episodes.

Mark and Lowell do their best to get a word in edgewise this week as the inimitable, lovable and legendary "Pitbull of Comedy" Bobby Slayton aka "Yid Vicious" reluctantly joins the podcast.

An incredibly talented stand-up comedian, Bobby has been a fixture in the comedy world since he hit the scene over 30 years ago. And he is a natural actor whose memorable roles you should watch in shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "The Mind of The Married Man," "Crisis in Six Scenes," and movies like "Bandits," "Get Shorty" and "The Rat Pack."

In his uncompromisingly honest and intense way, he shares a ton of great stories about his experiences in show business, managing through the loss of his wife, his experiences working with Woody Allen and much more!

    Mike Binder

    Mike Binder

Mike Binder is one amazing guy. He’s a multi-talented comedian, actor, writer, director, and documentarian. And he’s as down-to-earth as they come. He’s a stand-up comedian turned movie-maker and has written and directed films like the heartwarming “Indian Summer,” the touching and funny “The Upside of Anger,” directed the cult classic "Blankman", and created, wrote and directed the successful HBO series “The Mind of the Married Man,” wrote, directed and produced Showtime’s wonderful five-part documentary series “The Comedy Store," and is working on his second Bill Burr comedy special.
An old friend of Mark’s, Mike talks with the guys in a very open and honest conversation about his early years in comedy, how tough it is to get movies made, the art of learning from mistakes, finding sobriety, and the hardship of the recent losses (and warm memories) of good friends Bob Saget and Gilbert Gottfried. Mike shares some great stories about seeing Richard Pryor as a young kid, his little-brother type relationship with Jay Leno as he was starting out, additional scoop about the Comedy Store, and much more!

Smart and Funny

Mark Schiff’s comedy has literally left me gasping for air, and now his podcast with Lowell Benjamin brings his same dry wit to my podcast list. There is a wonderful ease between Mark and Lowell as co-hosts, and the guest lineup reflects the depth of Mark’s connections in the standup world. Not only is the show funny, but it also has a depth and humanity. Bravo, Mark

I LOVE this Podcast!

I’ve been a huge fan of Mark Schiff for decades. I’m really liking the chemistry he has with Lowell Benjamin. Mark makes me laugh so hard, and Lowell is very grounding and an awesome co-host. The guests have all been amazing. Huge stars of comedy. The deep dives into who they are and what makes them tick has been fascinating, and I love all the show biz and comedy stories and all familiar names and old friends that come up on every show. I am really enjoying this podcast. I’ve listened to every single episode. Bravo! Keep making more!
