You, Me, Empathy is the official podcast of The Feely Human Collective. On this show, we explore the struggles, the triumphs, the brights and the darks we face as humans trying to get by on this wondrous and overwhelming pale blue dot.

The intent of You, Me Empathy is to talk openly, without judgment, about our mental health, our neuroses, our shared anxieties and worries, to create a dialog that is vulnerable and deeply human and empathetic—and to share that dialog with others to inspire emotional and cognitive collaboration and insight so we can, hand in hand, break down the stigma that make us feel shame and guilt for struggling, for feeling our feelings, for being feely humans.

This is a brave place designed to inspire the beauty in each of us, because each of us, in all of our kaleidoscopic parts, makes up a magical whole that deserves to be seen.

Created and hosted by Nōn Wels, feely human, writer, and doggo lover.

The You, Me, Empathy podcast is for informational and/or entertainment purposes only and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Is “You Me Empathy” The Best Podcast Ever??! The Heart Says YES!

Where to even begin? I’ve been listening to Non’s podcast “You Me Empathy” for almost two years now and my only regret is that it took me so long to get to the party- and yes, “party” is an apt term in this context because you will meet the most fascinating individuals as guests on YME who show up fully not just with their hearts but with humor and humility and you just wished the episodes went on for much, much longer. No worries, though, if you did arrive late to the party because there are episodes going back literally YEARS that are as relevant as ever and waiting for you to discover them.

In a world that is increasingly polarized and kindness seems to be the rarest natural resource in existence, “You Me Empathy” is essential listening. Not only will you learn from individuals from all walks of life who bring with them their personal histories, traumas, joys, and wisdom, but you will leave each episode content (dare I say “happy”?) with the knowledge that conversations about the importance of empathy are happening, that you aren’t alone in thinking that empathy should be taught in schools alongside geography and literature, and that the only way for humans to survive requires a radical recalibration of how we view our relationships not just with each other but with our fellow earthlings and nature itself. All of that begins and ends with empathy.

YME is the perfect starting point for anyone wishing to build their capacity for empathy and to reflect on their own personal story within the context of collective empathy. Non is a phenomenal host who brings equal parts emotional and intellectual awareness and weaves his own story into the show in a way that reassures you that he knows of what he speaks. He is a treasure (and I hope he knows that!)

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that the show makes a conscious effort to bring in guests from the full spectrum of identities - be it gender, racial, sexuality, ethnicity, nationality, and even economic backgrounds (yes, even the celebrity interviews are *on point*) - so there’s sure to be something for everyone on this show.

In short, you should listen to this show as often and as much as possible. Your heart will thank you - mine certainly does <3

Love big feelings!

Absolutely love this podcast and all that Nom brings to the table in regards to mental health and our anxieties about showing up in this world. The guests he brings on are thoughtful and thought-provoking and I always leave each episode thinking about myself in a new way. Can’t wait for many more!
