You Must Remember This is a storytelling podcast exploring the secret and/or forgotten histories of Hollywood’s first century. It’s the brainchild and passion project of Karina Longworth (founder of Cinematical.com, former film critic for LA Weekly), who writes, narrates, records and edits each episode. It is a heavily-researched work of creative nonfiction: navigating through conflicting reports, mythology, and institutionalized spin, Karina tries to sort out what really happened behind the films, stars and scandals of the 20th century.

Such a delight

BEST PODCAST EVER!!!! For film or history buffs you couldn’t ask for a better program. Fun and easy to listen to, well researched with great production value, Karina Longworth sheds new light on some of Hollywood’s biggest stars throughout history. A real treat.

Good, but...

I’m listening to the episodes about the Manson Family and at times the “background” music is too loud and makes it hard to hear the narrator talking, would be more entertaining and informative without the music or at least at a much lower level. Also the narrator pronouncing T’s as D’s (“she had not eaden (eaten) that day” “the straight Sadens (Satans)” among others) drives me a little nuts.

I love 'em all

Brilliant in every way! I especially enjoyed the Joan Crawford, Charles Manson, and Bela & Boris series. I'm hoping Karina has some more in the pipeline.
