Today's episode revolves around a recent research paper written by Ariz State U professor Hendrick Bessembinder in which he studied the long term wealth creation of the stock market.
Of the 26,168 firms studied, almost 58% of them reduced shareholder wealth. So this begs the question, if you’re more likely to lose money investing in the market, why are so many people so hot to get in on the action?
