Welcome to Younger but Wiser, a podcast that celebrates the wisdom of teen girls and how we, as adults, might be able to learn a thing or two from them. We'll talk about everything from perfectionism and failure to radical self-acceptance. We'll dive into what these young women are nervous about losing as they get older, the superpowers they have, and what they already deeply understand about themselves and the world around them.

These young women embody the wisdom that we've all had from the beginning. I'm your host Ripley Rader, fashion designer, CEO, and founder of Camp Rocky Road - a leadership camp for girls. I'm on a mission to inject our next generation of young women with unapologetic grounded self-esteem. This pod is intended for everyone - parents and daughters alike!

This podcast is our opportunity to bridge the generations. An opportunity for us to talk and actually hear each other - whether you're 14 or 40. Join me as we get to know an army of women not afraid to stand out.

Lillian and Redefining the Cool Girl

Lillian and Redefining the Cool Girl

Today's interview is with Lillian. When I first met Lillian years ago at Camp Rocky Road, she was so quiet and reserved. But even then, her wisdom impressed me. She didn't talk much, but when she did, we all listened. Now at age 17, Lillian has become a voice to be reckoned with. She's smart, and passionate, and is driven to leave the world better than how she got it. She's wise beyond her years, and I'm honored to sit down with her today.

Too M'nyads ,

Thank you

I teach high school. I see so many teen girls and having raised a daughter am acutely aware of the minefield females must navigate at this already challenging time in life. Thank you for mentoring girls and highlighting these articulate young women and uplifting them.
I will share this podcast with my students.

the generational bridge we needed!

Ripley is a visionary and creates a space for he younger guests to share their perspective and wisdom with confidence and ease. speaking as a millennial, i so appreciate knowing how gen z sees things, and getting the chance to learn from them too. in our incredibly segregated world + society, we need all the connection we can get.

LeslieDurso ,

Love this perspective!

What a refreshing look at the younger generation!
