Your Jonah Moment Pastor Jason Anderson

    • Christianity

Let's talk about Your Jonah Moment--that moment when God asks you to do something you don't want to do. It happens to all of us; it happened to Moses, the Israelites, Gideon, and Jesus. How we respond to these moments will either lead us to a better life of freedom and breakthrough or a storm, where life hits a wall and everything is breaking. God wants to give you the best life, the one that your heart desires, but sometimes, it's on the other side of doing the hard things... the things you don't want to do.

"'Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.' But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. But the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty tempest on the sea, so that the ship was about to be broken up." (Jonah 1:2-4 NKJV)
