    Donnetta and Duane met at Purdue University in 1956 and were married for 47 years until he unexpectedly passed away in 2004.

    Duane, a veterinarian, had a specialty in racehorses and was the beloved Doc at the Hoosier Park Racetrack in Anderson, IN. While Duane was finishing his degree in 1958, Donnetta was going to women’s homes to teach them how to use the new electric sewing machines.

    Betty and Willis just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They were, coincidentally, born in the same house, three years apart.

    Betty is a retired teacher who taught for 30 years while Willis is a retired pharmacist who lectured about quackery for the Indiana State Board of Health. They supported each other through a lifetime of hard work and enjoy a family that has always been close.

    Lois and Bob grew up in the same small town, and even though Bob had been drafted for the Korean war, they married and started a family in 1951.

    They had a long, successful 67-year marriage finding support in family, friends, and faith. Unfortunately, Bob passed away in 2018. Lois is surrounded by family however, including 10 grandchildren and soon to be 12 great-grandchildren.

Warms My Heart

I’m so glad I came across this podcast. In a sometimes stressful world, it’s wonderful to hear about the happiest times in peoples’ lives.
