From small town Canada to the top of the Summit- Zach Carlin

From small town Canada to the top of the Summit- Zach Carlin

From a Canadian upbringing to “last chance to be in the NHL” Zach Carlin took big dreams from a (VERY) small Canadian town.

I feel so good to get to call Zach Carlin my friend- AND I had the pleasure of previously guesting on Zach’s Summit Chasers podcast. We connected quickly and I am so glad that we did. An early takeaway for me- was that Zach crafts one heck of a bio when he releases a podcast. I vowed to improve the specificity of my Podcast bios (Here is my first improved effort!)

Zach took to Fitness at an extremely young age as well. It’s incredible to me how someone who had very specific interests at such a young age-started to rack up success so early. Zach is a 3X professional athlete-who also developed his winning habits that would lead to a highly successful business career.

However-as with most success stories-there has been struggle along the way.

5:45 In a small town with limited options… drugs became a reality.

Good news is that recovery and athletics also occurred.

16:20 Chasing dreams (before Summit Chasers) brings Zach to the US- where Sports, Championships and an introduction to business takes shape in Las Vegas.

18:45 Professional fighting also introduced Zach to the benefits of team building.

19:44 The guts to allow others into the equation is always a gutsy move. Listen to Zach explain how it’s not always easy, even for a fighting champion.

23:30 Business success started after Zach saw his first P&L.

25:45 Being the youngest of 6 kids-Zach’s family taught him a lot about business.

31:05 check out Zach’s rendition of the “$30 MILLION DOLLAR FLIP” to gain some big aha’s as it relates to scale and best practices.

38:48 the ability to team build took on increased importance as Zach’s business acumen and success stories increased.

42:10 We all have (or should have) mentors to guide us. Here are some of Zach’s most influential list.

45:05 Zach, with the help of his partner-has launched the Summit Chasers Network. Big things are already happening, with a ton more things on the very near horizon.

Business leadership, brand-new podcasts, programs, keynotes, mentorships- all with the goal of helping businesses (and their leaders) to level up.

54:37 LASTLY-Zach answers my favorite question, “How would you define authenticity?” Oh, and on a side note, Zach takes a second swing on this question (and happens to give one of my all-time favorite answers) on a separate LinkedIn post.

Zach is a business leader- Summit Chaser for sure- and literally still just getting started. To learn more about Zach Carlin. Check out these links below.

Ron Wagner Slows the Game Down and Wins the Lion's Share

Ron Wagner Slows the Game Down and Wins the Lion's Share

When you ask Ron Wagner, what makes him authentic, he simply states that it may not be for him to answer. If you ask me, or others around him- Ron Wagner's energy, conviction, passion, sincerity, relatability, and relevance are just some of Ron's authentic traits.

Ron Wagner embodies building and refining your brand. It hasn't always been easy for Ron. You'll hear Ron state "...he wasn't born on third base, believing he hit a triple." Massive career victories, tempered by personal and professional setbacks, forged Ron's mantra that you have to "slow the game down."

Taking major professional risks- and following Ron's own calling- have led Ron Wagner to become a published author, a professional speaker, Growth and Marketing Executive, and sought after Fractional CMO. Ron Wagner is a Penn State alum- who wildly supports his wife and kids. Ron and I both grew up in Northeast Philly- seems like all the cool people do :-) Give a listen to Ron Wagner and you'll feel his inspiring energy.

Amazing Content - Needs to be in Your Playlist

Was just listening to the Catarina Campinas Furtado episode (pure gold!), and it just reiterated what I've been hearing across the spectrum of various episodes: If you're creative (and we all are!), an artist, musicians, designer, engineer, dancer, in short if you're interested in performing at your best, and striving towards wholeness, this podcast is gold. I highly recommend it!!
