Informative: Historical Local Info + Compassionately Revisited True Crime Stories

I was looking for true crime stories from my own state and I stumbled upon this podcast. I started with the Episode about Hancock, Maryland because I have lived in Maryland my whole life and I currently reside about 30 minutes East of Hancock in Hagerstown, Maryland. I had heard about the murder that was discussed so that made it even more interesting. I liked the conversational style and I enjoyed the historical, geographical and economic/ population information about the town and local points of interest that was shared before the true crime story. I thought that was a really nice touch and was an interesting and educational twist that you don’t always get in true crime stories. I thought the story telling about the actual crime itself was done in a compassionate and thoughtful way, going so far as to extend condolences to the family. I really appreciated this podcast and enjoyed it so much that I am going to keep listening to the rest of the episodes and learn about some different towns. I hope that the dart hits Maryland again sometime soon! Oh, and yes, we DO refer to the thinnest part of Western Maryland (everything from Hagerstown West is called Western Maryland) as “the panhandle” of our state. Thanks for what you do and you have a new listener in me!

Love this podcast!

They are so fun to listen to. Makes you feel like you are sitting with them drinking a cup of coffee chatting.
Love the dart method. Makes it interesting!

It’s okay

I was hoping for more information on true crime. Instead it’s a lot of the host talking about his experiences with wherever it is. I’ll give it a try again later and see if the podcast becomes any better.
