Required listening. Tech should enhance lives, not degrade

One is the most important podcasts out there. It’s 2019. The harmful aspects of tech and social media have never been more apparent. A new wave of humane & thoughtful implementation and usage is necessary for us, as a society to manage technology as a means to better our lives. This podcast talks to the leaders of the what’s hopefully a new era in tech that calibrates its usefulness with the it’s potentially harmful properties. Big ups to the folks at center for humane tech!

Stop talking over guests

I like this podcast, and I’ve learned a lot. I have an issue though: you continue to speak over guests. It’s rude and problematic for several reasons. I was following Marissa’s point, and suddenly you talked over her, sermonized for a minute, and by the time you took a breath, we were on to a new topic. Marissa’s point was forgotten.

I enjoy when you ask questions that probe ideas or terms that many of us don’t know, but there is no need to tell us what your guest is thinking, especially when she’s there to speak for herself. If you have so much to say, which is okay, dedicate a show to yourself instead of talking over your guests.
