Zoë Kravitz In the Envelope: The Actor’s Podcast

    • TV & Film

Zoë Kravitz has developed a philosophy toward auditions that any actor facing the prospect of rejection can adopt for themselves. “The truth is, you were always right or you were never right,” says the actor-model-musician, reflecting on her recent experience on the other side of the audition room table. The daughter of Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz, Zoë grew up surrounded by artists, and has plenty of advice, from navigating the artistic life in general to her specific creative process, to pass along.

Since her film debut at age 17 in “No Reservations,” Zoë has appeared in indies “Beware the Gonzo” and “Yelling to the Sky,” blockbusters “Divergent,” “Mad Max: Fury Road,” and “Fantastic Beasts,” and on “Californication.” This season she returned to star on HBO’s Emmy Award-winning “Big Little Lies,” and executive produced Veronica West and Sarah Kucserka’s Hulu adaptation of the classic rom-com “High Fidelity,” playing the gender-flipped leading role of Rob. She will next star as Catwoman in “The Batman.”
