    Conversation with a Cardiologist: How Important is CMR

    In this episode of the Zone3 podcast, hosts Robert and Reggie have a conversation with Dr. Francois Marcotte, a cardiologist with approximately 30 years of experience in the field, about his interests in congenital heart defects and cardiovascular imaging.

    As the episode begins, Robert and Reggie ask Dr. Marcotte to talk about his background as a cardiologist. The group then jumps right into discussion contrasting the different modalities for cardiovascular imaging and the pros and cons of each.

    Dr. Marcotte also discusses different congenital heart issues and the preferred imaging to diagnose and study them, fetal imaging that can be used to catch congenital heart defects early, and the connection between the heart and lungs.

    Dr. Marcotte shares a case with Robert and Reggie, showing images and explaining various aspects of the patient’s case and treatment. The group discusses the use of contrast in imaging, and the conversation concludes with Dr. Marcotte’s answers to some of Robert and Reggie’s top questions.

Awesome information for any technologist!

Love that there is finally a mri podcast! Learning is an ongoing process in mri and sometimes it’s hard to find time to keep up. I really enjoyed the show, tips and advice for beginner to senior tech anyone can learn or benefit from this show!
