Turning Crisis Into Opportunity
After Jesus was crucified and buried, the disciples were shut up together by FEAR. Fear had gripped their hearts. Things were happening around them that they had not counted on. They were not sure how to respond to all that was going on. But God had prepared a plan―a great awakening for them. Just like today. Some are wondering where Jesus is during these times of trauma. They are forgetting that He said He would never leave them. Jesus came and spoke the word that was needed to bring them and the atmosphere back into divine alignment. And that is as real for the Church today as it was for the beginning Church. Jesus has come to turn the tide. He is going to override the enemy by shifting the atmosphere. Just as He did for the disciples, He is saying, “Peace to you.” He not only imparted His peace to them in the midst of their confusion and fear, but He commissioned them: “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And then He breathed on them, and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” He knew they would need to be Spirit empowered to walk in oneness with Him and the Father. He knew they would need to be Spirit empowered to fulfill His commission and to thrive. It is the same for us now! He has empowered us to walk in His peace and His power, in oneness with the Godhead, and turn the current crisis into an opportunity for the Kingdom!
In the Day of Trouble!
“There is hope in the day of trouble.” In our 2020 Prophetic word, God told us this would be a year of being Spirit empowered as never before! I believe that what God has spoken over us is so important right now and we must keep that perspective. Spirit EMPOWERED is not only our promise, but it is essential for believers during this time. We know that as long as we are in this world, tribulation will come. But we have been given the power of Christ in us. We know the real power lies within the people of God who are SPIRIT empowered. We are the solution. As we call on the Lord and put our trust in Him, HE will arise and defeat this enemy and we will arise as the Church to do His bidding, as we help others. So many need to see the Body of Christ actually respond in kindness. No judgment. So check your heart, and move forward in confidence, in faith, and say NO to fear. Let us take advantage of this time to reinforce our confidence in God, and be the salt and light that He designed us to be.
Prophetic Service – Passing the Mantle & Honor
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
The Holy Spirit led the service with worship, prophecy and prayer. The theme: Even when we don't see it or feel it, He's working.
Prophetic Service – Waymaker
This was a day of honor and recognition of the gifts and callings of God in our Pastor, and a celebration to confirm what Pastor Dawn has received from her mentors and covering for many years. It was a day for Pastor Dawn to receive the blessing and the mantel from Pastor Bill & "General" Esther. A recognition to confirm the calling and anointing of Spiritual General in the Body of Christ. It was also an important moment of Pastor Dawn honoring those who have poured into her with love and wisdom.
As One, Join Yourself
We are called to walk in the supernatural, by the empowerment of the Spirit. He is calling us to pray, which is bringing unity, so the Spirit can come with His wind and His fire to prepare a people for a Spirit explosion that will consume us, corporately and individually, until all that is left is Him. And no person will get the glory, but only Him. In the story of Gideon, God demonstrates how He chooses ordinary people to accomplish supernatural things when they partner with Him. Though the odds were incredible, victory came when Gideon partnered with the power of God that was promised to him. AND when others partnered with Gideon—to become instruments of destruction. The vision is this: Hear His voice. Say YES. Be Spirit empowered on purpose, with purpose.
Nevertheless, At Thy Word
Jesus climbs into Peter's boat at the shore of the Sea of Galilee, to teach him a very important lesson. Peter has to lay down his pride, his own way of doing things, his own reasoning, his own will, his own expertise, and even his failures, in order to fully obey Jesus. But when he surrenders and follows Jesus' command, he learns that Jesus always knows best, and Peter was blessed beyond measure. Now, Jesus is getting into our boat. He is coming into our circumstances, our own way, and He is asking us to respond in the same way, "Nevertheless at Thy Word...". Total surrender and total obedience are what is necessary right now for the Church to fulfill His plans for us. Peter was transformed in that moment and became a fisher of men. It's time to lay down our old ideas and patterns and launch into the deep with Him, and let down our nets for a great catch!
