    Chia Yee Hsean or Sam, graduated from the BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication Design at The Design School, Taylor’s University in the 2019.

    At the design school she was known for her hard working attitude, her talent for quirky memorable illustrations and as a good communicator. She was also know to shed a tear or two.

    In this episode we talk about swearing, her student life, transitioning from student life to working life and her go-to safe space the toilet.

    In conjunction with International Women's Day, an interesting topic discussing an idea behind Gender Architecture which started as a passion derived from the speaker's Master thesis from Oxford Brookes University which focusing on women. The invited speaker, Aishah Mokhtar, produced her final thesis titled Women's Haven: Cultivating Moments of Paradise were nominated for several awards including featured in Super Architects and Koozarch. She continued portraying it with her recent installation work named 'The Veil: Collecting Fragments of Layers through Woman's Gaze'.

This collaborative process works across departmental, corporate and national boundaries and helps especially with projects as they grow in complexity. This episode is a sharing session with Ms Suzy Sulaiman, one of the sought collaborative leader in Malaysia that have involved various type of projects locally and internationally. Her jovial insights on her experiences throughout the whole process and involvement with many different parties in the team has given a fresh thought in design world. I find it is an insightful experience.
