Reel Discussions Podcast is a series that focuses on discussions with creatives; how they go about creating their work; overcoming challenges; and most of all discussing strategies learned in working with those who share different views in a time tribalism, cancel culture, and fearful exploration of creative ideas. This weeks podcast guest is Eddie Heegan. Eddie is an actor, filmmaker, former firefighter, and now meditation coach. Eddie has had an interesting journey of self discovery which has led him to exploring many of the questions facing our current society; its cultural "norms", and what is means to function in a time that looks to strip beliefs they disagree with. Eddie has been taking this perspective and working with people to assist them in rediscovering their own power, attaining mental clarity, and trying to leave a more fulfilling and empowering life. The podcast is hosted by indie film director, producer, writer, and actor David LaRosa, who is also the President of the indie film company Feenix Films, which was founded in 2008. Dave has 5 features as a Director under his belt, as well as 3 shorts. He is currently developing 2 films which he also co-wrote. Along with directing, acting, writing, and producing Dave has his Masters in Social Work from Fordham University; a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Political Science; worked with individuals with disabilities; and has also been a therapist/counselor.
