In this final episode of our mini-series we are going to discuss adaptations of adaptations, and how in a strange turn of fate these adaptations have cycled around closer to the original myth than the adaptation they are attempting to make their own,  and I know that sounds a little out there, but if you’re willing to go on this last note with me it really is interesting.

In this episode we will discuss the 1998 film Prometheus by Tony Harrison, Prometheus is a surreal film that needs to be experienced directly to fully appreciate the sheer artistic vision of the filmography and the strange, entrancing nature of its’ plot, and characters, with the bulk of the dialogue being rhyming verse, with several storylines transpiring at once, with very little dialogue or transition between them, and I wholeheartedly recommend that you look into it yourself as a plot summary does the experience of watching the film no justice.

In this episode, we will discuss the adaptation of Prometheus that has arguably superseded the original myth in the popular consciousness of what the story of creator, and creation is, Frankenstein, Or The Modern Prometheus by Mary Shelley and through it examine a less common, and distinctly more cynical view of Prometheus.

In this episode, we will discuss Prometheus Unbound by Percy Bysshe Shelley and how the romantics viewed Prometheus and what aspects of the character of Prometheus they thought were most important.
