#2 How to write a book part 2 SambaeZen: Lively, Empowered & Sometimes Zen

    • Self-Improvement

In today's episode:

How to write and edit a book in a short time and the in depth stages of the writing process. I will walk you through my creative process and share my tips, tricks and lessons along the journey of my writing career. And tangents.. beautiful tangents. My podcast is non-linear like my creativity process.

Let's get down to the nitty gritty of writing a book. How do you become the best writer you can be?

Learn your craft. It's not enough to be a native speaker; you need to become an expert in writing tools, as well as harnessing your own unique voice.

I offer book recommendations to learn the nuts and bolts of writing foundations: syntax, punctuation, grammar, spelling, usage et al. Flowery language vs being pithy.

Ideas are nothing without execution. What exactly is the book outline and what should be included?

Creative writing and professional writing courses are golden - learn from the feedback I received in university.

How to go from a blank page mocking you to a blank slate of opportunity and the beginning of your book.

What is flow and how can you find it?

Prioritize your creativity.

And KILL YOUR DARLINGS (save another copy though).

Let's do it, zen grasshopper.

xx

I am the author of How to be Zen in a Crisis - a practical guide for surviving and thriving during life's predicaments and even a pandemic. It's a lot more playful than it sounds - I'm serious about stress management and that's exactly why I'm not serious. This is my podcast, "Lively, Empowered and Sometimes Zen." Through my brand Sambaezen, we get empowered and peaceful while being lighthearted.
